第一套:如何平衡工作责任和个人利益/兴趣
这个题目是今年引起大家最多讨论的题目(出题人是魔鬼吗)
从词汇角度上来说personal interests可以指的是个人工作之外的兴趣, “activities someone enjoys outside of work”(释义出自Investopedia), 也可以表示个人利益,例如 “Paraguay's President-elect Horacio Cartes, a wealthy businessman, has said he would "never put personal interests before the country's (永不把个人利益至于国家利益之前" (例句出自BBC)
结合题目语境,“how to balance job responsibilities and personal interests” 与之做比较的是 job responsibilities工作职责,而不是非个人的利益,个人兴趣这个含义更加符合题目要求。
写成个人利益的同学也不要太担心,题目存在一词多义的情况,理解为“个人利益”原则上来说并非离题。
下面范文按照 个人兴趣角度出发。
The past couple of years have witnessed the growing incidents of a noteworthy social phenomenon that it is increasingly difficult to balance the working responsibilities and personal interests. It should be observed that similar happenings are so widespread that a great deal of attention is being paid to such a problem. And we can easily find a host of relevant discussions all over the newspapers, TV shows, and even the worldwide web.
In order to tackle this severe problem which cannot be neglected in our contemporary society, a multitude of measures should be taken as soon as possible. At the top of the list, it would be beneficial if we could find a job which conforms to our interests, so that we can work happily and without feeling boring. Moreover, it is advisable that we finish our working tasks in due course, and we can have time to cultivate and develop our personal interests in this way. Finally, it must be admitted that the boundary between work and life is also a significant factor that can not be neglected.
Given the arguments so far, some measures can be taken as soon as possible to handle the relationship between job responsibilities and personal interests. And I firmly believe that we can make it.
第二套:如何平衡学术研究与课外活动?
In our contemporary society, students in mounting numbers are concerned about the problem that it is becoming increasingly difficult to balance the academic study and extracurricular activities. Indeed, the past couple of years have witnessed the growing incidence of such happenings.
From my perspective, a large number of measures can be taken as soon as possible. To begin with, it is a must for us to improve the study efficiency, so that we can enjoy the after-class activities happily. Moreover, it must be admitted that the boundary between study and activities is also a significant factor that cannot be neglected. To put it another way, it is suggested that we should do the right things during the right time.
Taking into account what has been argued so far, it can be concluded that we can balance academic study and extracurricular activities if we take some appropriate measures. And more and more students will benefit from this phenomenon. (158 words)
第三套:如何平衡工作和休闲?
The previous couple of years have witnessed the prevalence of a noteworthy social phenomenon that it is becoming increasingly difficult to handle the relationship between work and leisure. It should be noted that such happenings have already been brought into public concern and we can easily find a host of relevant discussions among the mass media.
In order to tackle this severe problem which cannot be neglected in our contemporary society, a host of measures should be taken as soon as possible. Given what has been discussed above, everyone around us should take it seriously. More significantly, our life can be far better than ever if we can balance the work and leisure to the utmost.

六级听力考试的总体而言还是有一定难度的,长对话,短文,讲座均出现了属于科普等较为严肃话题的类文章,对考生词汇量有着较高的要求,词汇量较弱的考生可能会出现通篇抓瞎的情况,就乱了阵脚。但其实掌握解题方法,对单词读音熟悉,拿到基本分还是没有问题的。

第一篇长对话的内容是有关于一男一女对于how to become online celebrity and what to do进行的对话。四道题都是细节题,但是通过课上讲过的默读和听力技巧基本上可以做到精准定位。难度居中,没有特别多的生僻词汇。听力中三四题容易出现混淆选项。要格外注意。

Long conversation 2
第二篇长对话的场景是近些年考试频率最高的对话名人智者的采访类。相关统计数据已经在课堂上呈现过了。内容是一个叫做“physics today”的节目,邀请了一位理论物理方面的博士Malisa Philip来帮助大家理解一些复杂的物理问题,主要是有关于matter and antimatter(物质和反物质)和宇宙如何形成等问题。难度比上一篇要高一些,生僻词汇较多,但是作答时可以使用课上说过的审题技巧在并不太确定的时候锁定正确答案。

第一篇篇章讲的是一种叫做foreign accent syndrome的疾病,以一个一直生活在美国的女人但是某天醒来却变成英国口音的故事开头。还陈述了这个病可能的原因和其他的例子。难度不大,有生僻词但是可以通过听前预读解决。篇章首句容易出现答案的答题技巧依旧出现。还有听到特殊人物要集中注意力容易出现疑似答案。课上都已经练习过。总体来说注意力集中,绕过生僻词有希望全对。

第二篇篇章内容有关于游泳这项运动在女性之中大受欢迎以及发展历程。听力原文从头到尾都有提到过关键词swim,同上一个篇章一样也可以通过特殊人物集中注意力的方式锁定答案。两篇篇章难度都不是太大。掌握好平时上课的练习,基本上问题不会太大。是本次听力考试中的得分项。

第一篇讲座内容是介绍一种善于撒谎的人以及制造某种机器来测谎的可行性和各方态度。文章内容难度并不是特别大,相比第二篇要简单一些。需要注意力集中排除可能出现的干扰项。

第二篇讲座由会议引入,探讨了语言的形成发展特色。其中多细节,例如南太阳的小岛,热带国家和某些寒带国家语言数量的对比,人数多的地方语言种类未必多等例子。细节比较杂乱,考验考生的耐心和审题能力。
