　　According to one of the most prestigious educators in China, mutual understanding and respect play a vital role in interpersonal relationship. After all, both mutual understanding and respect are the prerequisites for us to establish a good relationship with other people around us.

　　Take me a second-grade university student majoring in Communications Engineering as an example. I have altogether six roommates in my dormitory in the university. We are of different cultural background because we came from different parts of the country. Some of us tend to be talkative while some others keep quiet all the time. Some of us are accustomed to taking shower in the morning while others think it better to do so before going to bed at night. Some of us love eating durian though I believe it is the most smelly fruit in the world. Only when we understand and respect the differences between the roommates can we live with one another in a friendly and harmonious way for a few years.
