“不做旁观者”，“终生学习”，“听比说好”。这次四级写作没考提纲作文、没考图（表）作文。这有些出乎意料。三道试题都有一定难度，很难用以往考生熟悉的模板了。当然，有些老师和学生还是热衷模板。一定要用模板的话，当然总是可以事先编造，得分多少就听天由命了。本文后面也附加了一篇由国内一家知名培训机构的分校老师提供的范文，仅供大家参考。
在这次考试的三篇作文中以第一篇难度为大。其实，第一篇文章的命题本身也容易引起误解。请看：
Directions: For this part, you are allowed 30 minutes to write an essay commenting on the saying “Never go out there to see what happens, go out there to make something happen” You can cite examples to illustrate the importance of being creative rather than mere onlookers in life. You should write at least 120 words, no more than 180 words.
从前面的引言看，命题人是想让考生写“积极行动而不是袖手旁观”。但在题目的后面部分“积极行动”变成“being creative”了。这个词组至少可以被理解为“创新”。但如果这样理解它和“mere onlookers in life”又无法形成对比。本文作者还是认为从引言本身出发展开讨论较为稳妥。
要举例说明积极参与的重要性可以从很多方面写。比如北京新东方学校的范文举屠呦呦为例就很切题。如果考生觉得有难度，也可以像本文一样举自己熟悉的环保主题为例。
What role would you like to play on the journey of life, a spectator or a participant? At least it seems to me, it is wise to adopt the attitude of a participant rather than that of a spectator for the benefit of ourselves and the whole society.
For example, driven by greed for more money, quite a few companies discharge heavily polluted water or air without proper treatment while some, including government officials, choose to look on for their own interest. What is the result? The bitter pill we swallow. Now, rarely can we breathe in fresh air or find water drinkable in the river. More often, people in China have to wear gas masks or lock ourselves indoors when the sky is blanketed by some of the worst levels of smog on record.
Continue to act as an onlooker when the nature is contaminated, and we will die one night in the waste we make. Having realized the growing danger, leaders of many countries have taken actions. They gathered in Paris not long ago to draw a plan hailed as a milestone on the path to keep Earth hospitable to human life. Can we, as common people, afford to stand by?

As a famous saying goes， “Never go out there to see what happens， go out there to make something happen”。 Simple as the saying is， its meaning is profound and thought-provoking， which is meant to tell us that we are supposed to be creative instead of acting as the onlooker。
Conspicuous are the impacts of being creative and I would like to explore the following aspects。 To begin with， it is to leading a team to make constant progress what water is to fish， which can be best illustrated by an example concerning an extraordinary basketball player， Yao Ming。 Moreover， this kind of innovation also makes it possible for a nation to promote its international status and improve the comprehensive competitiveness。
From my perspective， keeping creative is so essential that adequate importance must be attached to it。 Only when we literally realize the key role it plays can we become better selves in the foreseeable future。
