　　Online libraries are becoming increasingly popular, as the modern technology advances. From my perspective, in such a digital age, online libraries are of great benefits for people as well as the whole society.

　　First and foremost, online libraries encourage modern people to read more books, in that it provides a convenient and handy virtual venue for reading. With only a smartphone or a kindle in hand, people can readily read digital books wherever they are without bothering to carry a heavy book. Furthermore, online libraries increase the variety and quantity of the books readers can choose. Books that cannot be found in brick-and-mortar libraries—such as foreign documents—can be easily found in online libraries. Last but not least, reading in online libraries is also an effective way to save natural resources, because it reduces considerably the consumption of paper which is made of wood.

　　In a nutshell, online libraries are convenient environmental-friendly, helping people to cultivate the habit of reading in a regular manner. Therefore, we are supposed to make the most of online libraries.
