worth worthy worthwhile的用法区别

　　一：Worth

　　(指行动)是值得的(形容词)

　　有…价值的(形容词)

　　价值，价值(多少钱)的东西

　　意义，作用

　　1)This book is of little worth.

　　这本书毫无价值。

　　2)I want to sell some of my things, but they aren't worth much.

　　我想卖掉我的一些东西，但它们值不了几个钱。

　　worth不能做定语，只能做表语，而且不单独使用，必须跟其他成分：

　　1，名词

　　1)The scheme is well worth a try.

　　这个计划很值得一试。

　　2)That painting is worth a lot of money.

　　那幅画值很多钱。

　　2，动名词 worth+doing

　　1)It's not worth guessing the answer, as you may lose marks.

　　没必要猜答案，因为你可能会丢分。

　　2)If a thing is worth doing it is worth doing well.

　　做任何(值得做的)事都应该尽力做好。

　　二：Worthy

　　值得(或应得)…的，有价值的

　　值得尊敬的，值得注意的，值得敬仰的

　　1)He is worthy of our praise.

　　他值得我们称赞。

　　2)As a writer she is certainly worthy of admiration.

　　作为一个作家，她确实值得钦佩。

　　worthy可以做定语，做表语一般也要跟其他成分：

　　1，名词

　　1)I did not esteem him to be worthy of trust.

　　我认为他不值得信任。

　　2)This, it seems to me, is an issue worthy of careful analysis.

　　在我看来，这是一个值得仔细分析的问题。

　　2，to do/to be done

　　1)There occurred nothing that was worthy to be mentioned.

　　没有发生什么值得一提的事。

　　2)Living alone or living with roommates is worthy to be considered.

　　独居或与室友同住值得认真考虑。

　　3，of being done

　　be worthy of being done等于be worth doing

　　1)This book is worthy of being read./This book is worth reading.

　　这本书值得一读。
