　　2020年12月大学英语四级作文：Directions: For this part, you are allowed 30 minutes to write on the topic Changes in the Way of Education. You should write at least 120 words but no more than 180 words.

　　首先，通过审题发现，今年12月份的四级作文是一篇相对而言开放性更大的话题，题目没有提出很多明确的要求，所以考生可以根据自己的理解和偏好去完成。话题素材为当代社会很常出现的现象，教育方式的改变，所以可以按照议论文结构去完成本篇写作。

　　其次，确定为议论文之后，先确立写作大纲：

　　第一段为背景+话题引入：随着科技进步和互联网的普及，人们的生活发生了翻天覆地的变化，尤其体现在教育方面，从过去的传统授课方式，引入了新型的在线教育方式。但对于这种新型的教育方式，目前存在利与弊。

　　第二段可以展开说明新型教育方式的优点，缺点及其支撑论据。首先，在线教育的优点是它可以为学习带来便利bring benefits to one’s learning，可以节约通勤时间save time spent on commuting。除此以外，这种新型的在线教育方式还可以提供学生更多的课程选择，不拘泥与本校老师，本地区老师甚至本国老师，他们甚至可以观看知名教授的公开课程open courses;然而，这种新型教育方式也存在自己的弊端，比如缺乏实时的监督supervision，无法保证学生的学习效率learning efficiency。

　　第三段就是总结概括：尽管在线教育，这种新型的教育方式，存在一些弊端，但整体而言，它带来的好处远大于弊端。只有如果提高在线教育授课过程中的监督，才可最大化好处maximize its benefits。

　　With the innovation of technology and generalization of the Internet, extraordinary changes have taken place in every aspect of people’s life, and the way of education is no exception, which introduces a kind of novel way of education, online education, to the traditional education. However, there exist both merits and demerits in such a change of the way of education.

　　On the one hand, the benefits of online education are comparatively apparent. Not only can online education save students’ time spent on commuting, but also it can provide a bigger stage for students to have access to oceans of excellent open courses. For example, students can acquire knowledge via NetEase Open Course aiming to offer free courses from elite schools in the world to audiences. On the other hand, it is difficult for teachers to supervise students’ learning efficiency through online education, which proves quite adverse.

　　In conclusion, the change in the way of education has both its attractions and drawbacks. Only if students and schools make rational and wise use of it can they maximize its benefits.
