本次考察的四级写作和往常考察的一样，要求大家写议论文，考察内容是“交通出行方式的改变”，这是我们平时可以接触到、跟我们生活息息相关的话题，所以总体上来说难度中等。接下来，我们来看一下四级写作真题：
Directions: For this part, you are allowed 30 minutes to write on the topic Changes in the Way of Transportation. You should write at least 120 words but no more than 180 words.
【解析】
根据题目信息可知，这是一篇议论文写作，话题是交通出行方式的改变。我们就可以按照英语文章的行文结构“总-分-总”这种三段论的形式来展开写文章。
第一段：开篇点题，引出话题，指出当今随着科学技术的发展，交通出行选择多种多样，大到飞机、高铁，小到地铁、公交、共享单车，都体现出来交通方式的变化。
第二段：可以选择上述的任何一种交通方式详细说明，此处范文选择了高铁进行详细描写。这一部分可以结合生活实际进行说明，高铁现在几乎是人们国内出行的首选，以前根本不能想象从广州到北京只需要十个小时。中国目前拥有世界上最快的高速铁路网，高铁列车的运行速度还将继续提升。大多数城市都修建了高铁站。高铁大大缩短了人们出行的时间。
第三段：总结全文，再次强调这些交通出行方式极大地改变了中国人的生活方式，给我们带来了便利。
【范文】
Nowadays, with the rapid development of science and technology, the living standard of Chinese people has been dramatically improved. Compared with the way of transportation in the past, there are numerous choices for people, such as airplanes, private cars and high-speed trains, among which I think high-speed train is the most outstanding change.
It goes without saying that high-speed train has become the first choice for people when they travel domestically, while five years ago people couldn’t even imagine to arrive in Beijing from Guangzhou just within ten hours. China owns the biggest and fastest network of high speed railway in the world and its speed will continue to be increased. The majority of cities have built high speed railway stations. The time spent in travel has been largely shortened owing to the fact that it is rarely affected by the weather and traffic control. The operation of high-speed rail system is very successful; it carries twice as many passengers as the country’s civil aviation system.
Apart from high-speed train, urban transportation like subways and shared bikes has also greatly changed the lifestyle of Chinese, making it more convenient for passengers to go wherever they want. It is indeed the best of times!
