Directions: For this part, you are allowed 30 minutes to write a short essay on why students should be encouraged to develop communication skills. You are required to write at least 150 words but no more than 200 words.
【参考范文】
It is widely acknowledged that many, especially young ones, live in a society where they are connected with and judged by others. When they wonder what could bring out success, they always mention effective communication skills.
As for the reasons, what I can think of are as follows. Primarily, effective communication skills could provide a basic platform both for the people who deliver messages, and for those receiving as well. Besides, efficiency and accuracy during conversations are the natural outcomes if young ones grasp such skills. Furthermore, language, as the main medium of one’s thoughts and ideas, can reflect his/her logic, rationality and knowledge; thus, effective communication skills, which can be viewed as the guarantee of ideas, play an even more significant role.
To sum up, in order to achieve material and spiritual goals in life, people, including youngsters, should be encouraged to develop their communication skills.
