Directions: For this part, you are allowed 30 minutes to write an essay on why students should be encouraged to develop effective communication skills. You should write at least 150 words but no more than 200 words.
首先，通过审题发现，今年12月份的六级作文是一篇比较常规的原因分析类文章，或者利弊分析型皆可，所以考生可以根据之前所学过的此类型结构来完成本篇写作。
其次，确定为议论文之后，先确立写作大纲：
第一段为背景+话题引入：随着社会进步，人们越来越意识到沟通能力在当今这个竞争激烈的社会中的重要性，这种能力在很多场合都会被人所强调，比如工作领域或者学生会事务处理。
第二段可以展开说明其受重视的原因。首先，有效的沟通能力可以使得工作顺利展开，取得理想的结果。其次，这种能力可以帮助交朋友。最后，有效的沟通可以省时，事半功倍。
第三段就是总结概括：既然有效的沟通有如此明显的重要性，那么，每个人去培养有效的沟通技巧就势在必行。

With the quick pace of social development, there is a growing national awareness of the importance of effective communication skills, especially in this intensly competitive society. Such skills are laid much emphasis and recognized by the public. For example, when people are dealing with their jobs or students are handling affairs in Students’ Union, they will not underestimate the power of communication skills.
However, why are such skills so significant? At least several reasons, in my opinion, could be responsible for this question. First of all, effective and efficient communication skills pave a smooth way for one’s task, not only because such skills can make you understood well by others, but also because you can effortlessly reach agreement with others. In addition, students who possess the excellent ability of communication will have the inclination to make more friends. Last but not least, effective communication skills can save much time and energy for communicators concerned.
In conclusion, familiarizing the reasons why students should be encouraged to develop effective communication skills, people should bear in their mind that it is imperative for them to take prompt actions. Only in this way can they be invincible in this society.
