Directions: For this part, you are allowed 30 minutes to write an essay. Suppose you have two options upon graduation. One is to take a job in a company and the other to go to a graduate school. You are to make a choice between the two. Write an essay to explain the reasons for your choice. You should write at least 120 words but no more than 180 words.I have decided to continue to read for a Master’s degree after college graduation. Obviously, with a Master’s degree, there are a lot more preferable choices.

There are a great many reasons for my decision. Firstly, I enjoy learning and acquiring knowledge. I remember that as I became a college student, my burning desire for further studies felt increasingly strong. The decision was naturally made when I realized I would not be content to simply end my educational career with college level and enter the working world so soon. In today’s world, where college population grows rapidly, a Master’s degree becomes essential if I wish to compete for a rewarding job. It ensures me a secure future in a society in which college graduates in expanding numbers failed to be employed.

For these reasons, I won’t mind spending another three years in the ivory tower, I won’t mind giving upopportunities to make money, I won’t mind sacrificing many beautiful things in this period of my life.

正因为这些理由，我从不在乎再在大学里呆三年时间，不在乎放弃赚钱的机会，不在乎牺牲我这个年龄段许多美好的东西。
